Luuk Steitner and Erik met each other on an internet users group for 3D animation software. Luuk helped Erik with the PHANTOM’s opening sequence by building and lighting the 3D theater. Being a programmer (have a look at his facial motion capture software Zign Track) he assisted by solving a number of difficult technical problems concerning this sequence. In the end every computer and notebook that Luuk and Erik could lay their hands on was used for rendering. Render times were as high as one hour per frame.
